Win $1,000 for your summer treehouse or fort!
The Big Green Fort Wars are on.
The Big Green is giving away 💸 $1,000 💸 to a group of kids under 14 years of age to help them build a fort this summer (think the old neighborhood treehouse vibes).
Here's how it works:
(1) Find a crew. This is all about motivating kids and their friends to get off screens and out of the house this summer. Find a group of three or more friends to apply with. No solo entries.
(2) Find a spot. The fort can be anywhere -- in a tree, under a deck, in a backyard. Just needs to be somewhere you have access to and that makes sense.
(3) Design the fort. Show us what you have in mind. Can be a drawing on paper, can be a 3D model, whatever. Doesn't need to be fancy. But should be both creative and doable.
(4) Create 1-2 minute video. Show us the crew. Show us the spot. Show us the design. And tag @thebiggreenindoorplay when you post it and you'll be automatically entered into the contest.
Winners will be announced at the end of April. And we'll come back and film the progress along the way for folks to see and cheer along.

Why are we doing this?
The big green’s mission has always been bigger than building indoor playgrounds.
We are committed to celebrating free play. The kind that involves no screens, very few adults and a lot of boredom. The kind that used to give way to amazing (and sometimes dumb) projects, pranks and plans.
When we were kids, the neighborhood gang in our small town spent three years building an amazing fort in the Thompson family backyard called the ‘Pogo Pad’. It had multiple levels. Electric lights. Painted walls. Some bad art. And it was the birthplace of a million great memories.
We want those memories for our kids. And your kids. So this summer, let’s go build a fort together!
